  11. At one of our field sites, we have a MultiTech MT1432BA with firmware 
  12. version 0113A USA.  The field site is running AIX (ibm's flavor of
  13. UNIX).

  15. When we dial into the site ( using any of the following modems: 
  16.     USRobotics Sportster 14400, Intel 144e, or a MT1432BA) the
  17. connection loses characters.
  18.  
  19. I have found I can eliminate  the loss if I configure the calling modem
  20. to have 'error correction OFF'.
  21.  
  22. I recall that in the early days, if you wanted to use error
  23. correction, that you must use the same brand and model of modem at each side of
  24. the connection.  I thought these inconsistencies were fixed...  Is that
  25. what my problem or is it a problem with my configuring the MT1432???
